Not sure why I had to reset all the VST plug-ins before I did a scan but it seemed to fix the problem. I hit the Reset All VST plug-ins button under preferences/VST settings then I hit the Scan VST folders button. I checked the path and it was where it needed to be. When I installed X2 back when it was released I could not get the Vintage Channel VC64 to show up in the listed plugins. If you don't see the direct X version there something else may be wrong with the initial install. of course the first thing to do is to check the install path of the plug in.
